FHKI Group 15 (Hong Kong Plastics Industry Council) and Group 26 (Environmental Industries Council) successfully organized the "New Generation of Eco-Friendly Plastics" Demo Day on 2 November 2023, attracting over 100 visitors from member companies.

This Demo Day is a flagship event of the Hong Kong Plastics Industry Council and Environmental Industries Council this year. Ten exhibitors showcased cutting-edge plastic materials and environmental technologies, including biodegradable, lightweight, high-performance, green and recycled plastic resin products. The event provided a platform for industry practitioners to exchange technical knowledge and explore new business opportunities.

The seminar featured esteemed speakers such as Ms Joanne Yung, Principal Environmental Protection Officer of the Environmental Protection Department; Mr Ken Chiu, Head of Carbon and ESG Products at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited; Mr Kenny Wong, Director of Business Development & Projects - Hong Kong at ALBA Asia Smart Recycling Logistics Limited, ALBA Group Asia; and Mr Wallace Lam, General Manager - Recycling at Baguio Green Group Limited, who discussed the latest policies, regulations, and plastic technologies. Additionally, a panel discussion facilitated by Ir Samson Suen, General Manager of the Intelligent Manufacturing Department at the Hong Kong Productivity Council, provided a Q&A and sharing session.

The Demo Day was a successful event that fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange within the plastics industry.
