FHKI Group 1 (Hong Kong Chemical Industries Council) successfully organised a one-day factory visit to 2 member companies in Zhongshan on 31 May 2024 - Yip's Chemical and Mentholatum (China).

The delegates first visited Yip's Chemical's subsidiaries, Bauhinia Variegata Inks & Chemicals (Zhongshan) Ltd and NAP Testing Technology Service (Zhongshan) Co Ltd. Bauhinia Variegata Inks & Chemicals (Zhongshan) Ltd demonstrated to members its modern management standards and production lines of its 3 major businesses. Members were then invited to a tour of NAP Testing Technology Service (Zhongshan) Co Ltd, where they learned about the critical role of quality control in the production line through inspection. By demonstrating advanced testing technologies and strict quality management systems, members gained an understanding of the convenience and importance of integrated inspection, testing, and certification for production development.

The final stop of the visit was Mentholatum (China) Pharmaceuticals Co Ltd.  Coinciding with the brand's 135th anniversary celebration, members were delighted to explore the high-standard production environment, innovative spirit, and sustainable development concepts and practices behind this well-known personal care brand.
