FHKI Group 7 (Hong Kong Metal and Machinery Council) successfully organised a factory visit to Shenzhen on 4 June 2026, enabling members to explore the latest developments in smart manufacturing and automated production.

The event was led by Ms Clara Chan, Executive Deputy Chairman of FHKI and Chairman of Group 7, alongside Dr Alexis Suen, Vice-Chairman of Group 7. In the morning, members first visited ABUS Hardware (Shenzhen) Ltd. and were privileged to be received by Ms Virginia Ng, CEO, who introduced and shared the enterprise's innovative R&D achievements and efficient production management models. Special thanks were also extended to ABUS Hardware for thoughtfully arranging a luncheon, allowing members to deepen exchanges in a relaxed atmosphere. The group then proceeded to Sun Strong Precision Metal International Ltd., where Mr Ng Chung-lee, Chairman and his team gave an in-depth presentation on their precision manufacturing processes and shared insights into the application of new technologies.

The event allowed members to gain insights into automated manufacturing technologies and provided a platform for cross-industry knowledge sharing and technical discussions, actively fostering potential future collaboration opportunities between the industries of both regions.
