FHKI Group 15 (Hong Kong Plastics Industry Council) x Group 27 (Automobile, aeronautical and advance components): Mission to Shanghai and Ningbo was successfully held from 22 April to 25 April 2026. The four-day intensive research journey took participants through two of China’s core industrial hubs.
The mission kicked off in Shanghai on April 22, with the first stop at AI industry leader Shanghai SenseTime Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. As a pioneer in original research and development, SenseTime demonstrated its remarkable achievements in AI-driven industrial empowerment and urban governance, inspiring members to reflect on the future of "AI + Manufacturing." That evening, a welcome dinner provided a convivial atmosphere for members across different sectors to explore cross-industry collaboration and strengthen business networks.
The following day, the delegation visited Chinaplas 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (Shanghai). This visit provided participants with practical insights into green intelligent manufacturing and international market trends, building crucial momentum for corporate transformation and enhancing core competitiveness in the global market.
On April 24, the delegation moved to Ningbo to focus on automation, new energy, and smart technologies. Members visited the Meishan Port Automated Terminal, Daqi High-end Auto Parts Mould Park and Ningbo Zhenzhi Machinery & Mould to witness world-leading logistical efficiency and discuss large-scale die-casting technologies essential for "automotive lightweighting."
In the afternoon, the group visited LK Intelligent Equipment and Zeekr Electric Vehicle Factory to observe intelligent production lines. On the final day, the mission visited Consinee Group Co., Ltd. to experience a benchmark model for digital transformation in the textile industry, followed by a visit to Ningbo Yixin Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. to gain deep insights into industrial robot integration.
The mission received immense support from various parties, including the United Front Work Department of the CPC Beilun District Committee, Ningbo, Ningbo Hong Kong Fellowship Association, FHKI Honorary President Prof Cliff Sun, whose warm hospitality enriched the members' experience in business matching and cross-border exchange.
