Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Startup Council and HKU’s Techno-Entrepreneurship Core, the 2nd session of the STARS Programme Cohort 6 was successfully held on 9 June.
Focusing on the theme "ESG & Advanced Tech, ICT & AI," the event featured 10 startup teams from HKU specialising in these fields to pitch their business proposals. The representatives of the Hong Kong Startup Council actively engaged with the startups through Q&A sessions and sponsored the Best Pitching Team with an opportunity in FHKI networking activities, encouraging startups to connect with the industrial sectors. During the one-on-one in-depth discussions, FHKI mentors provided tailored guidance on the startups’ pain points to help them explore solutions and opportunities.
The event also marked the launch of the "Tech-up GBA Innovators Programme," empowering young tech entrepreneurs to commercialise innovations through funding support and resource matching, accelerating growth in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
