The Guangming District of Shenzhen has actively developed industries such as biomedicine and high-end medical devices, promoting the clustering of the life and health industry in recent years. The district is committed to nurturing strategic emerging industry clusters and the development of futuristic industry sectors.

FHKI Group 33 (Biotechnology and Healthcare Council) organised a delegation to visit biomedicine and medical device enterprises in Guangming District, Shenzhen, on 10 September 2024. Members visited local biomedicine and medical device companies and parks, met with industry professionals and corporate representatives, exchanged insights on the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry, and explored collaboration opportunities during the visit. The delegation also aimed to gain an understanding of the latest developments in the Guangming district.

The delegation included representatives from startups and mature enterprises in the biotechnology sector, as well as research institutions, biotechnology associations, and medical schools, including:
