FHKI Group 21 (Transport & Logistics Services Council) organised a visit to The Kowloon Motor Bus Depot in Kowloon Bay on 7 June 2024, drawing more than 30 members. KMB has adopted multiple measures in mitigating and minimising the environmental impacts associated with its service. The company aims to lead the public transport industry towards the new green era and promote Hong Kong to achieve carbon neutrality.
During the visit, members first embarked on a tour of the depot aboard the electric double-decker bus to gain insights into the company's day-to-day operations, its sustainability initiatives, and its roadmap for electrification. Members experienced the pivotal role of green technology in driving our city's transition to low-carbon transportation. Furthermore, KMB representatives introduced the company's development milestones and expressed their commitment to transitioning the entire fleet to new energy buses. The event culminated in a dialogue between the participants and KMB representatives, fostering networking opportunities and facilitating a deeper understanding of environmental protection and low-carbon initiatives within Hong Kong's public transport sector
