2023 Mainland-Hong Kong Business Associations Joint Conference was held at The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) with the participation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC), the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA), the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC), and about 65 representatives of the trade organisations and trade associations of the two places. FHKI Chairman Mr Steve Chuang, Deputy Vice-Chairmen Mr Wallace Wong and Ms Jackie Ng attended the meeting.

At the meeting, representatives of trade promotion organisations and leaders of trade associations of the two places exchanged views on the innovative co-operation direction of the Joint Commission, expanding co-operation between ASEAN and the Belt and Road market, and Hong Kong's integration into the development of the Greater Bay Area. Mr Steve Chuang suggested that the Chamber should actively strengthen co-operation with chambers of commerce in ASEAN and countries along the "Belt and Road" route, and act as a bridge between enterprises and different markets.
