The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) will implement the Electronic Filing of Profits Tax Return by phases from next year. FHKI was invited to host a Webinar on the IRD’s eTAX Journey on 16 August 2022 (Tuesday). Over 50 members joined the webinar.

We are glad to have Mr Wesley Leung, JP, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) of IRD, Ms Emily Chak and Mr Desmond Wong, Tax Partners of PwC as guest speakers. They introduced the details of the eTAX journey, including demonstration of the user interface and implementation of eTax in overseas jurisdictions etc. The guests gave instant responses to the questions actively raised by participants. Ms Clara Chan, FHKI Executive Deputy Chairman and Taxation Committee Chairman, delivered a welcome speech on the webinar and shared her views on e-finance and e-taxation.
