The Federation of Hong Kong Industries continued to co-organise the “Job Shadowing Mentorship Scheme” with Social Welfare Department, the Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Shamshuipo East Happy Teens Club, the Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association and Caritas School Social Work Service this year. Mr Ricky Yu, District Social Welfare Officer (Sham Shui Po) attended and supported the briefing session on 29 July 2022 with nearly 150 mentors and mentees.

A total of 72 senior management of enterprises were recruited as volunteer mentors and matched with 146 young persons. The mentors will arrange mentees to visit their workplaces during summer time so that these young persons can get familiar with the operation of different enterprises or industries.

The “Job Shadowing Mentorship Scheme” also allow mentors to share their career paths, ups-and-downs and ways to success with mentees to inspire them on career life planning.
