Group 15 (Hong Kong Plastics Industry Council) (“HKPIC”) successfully organised the Demo Day on “New Generation Plastics: Latest Applications and Industry Outlook” (“Demo Day”) on 22 July 2022 and attracted over 100 visitors from member companies.

The Demo Day is a signature event of HKPIC this year. 12 exhibitors demonstrated state-of-the-art plastic materials and technologies such as biodegradable, light-weighted, high performance, green and regeneration plastic resin products to the industry practitioners. Exhibitors and participants exchanged technical knowledge to chart new business opportunities.

In the "Latest Applications of Plastic Material and Industry Outlook" Seminar, Ms Joanne Yung, Principal Environmental Protection Officer of Environmental Protection Department; Mr Sammiel Li, Senior Manager of Intertek Testing Services Hong Kong Ltd; Mr Samson Suen, General Manager of Smart Manufacturing Division, Hong Kong Productivity Council; and Mr Nelson Fu, Joint Chief Executive Officer of Ace Plastics Technologies Ltd shared with participants new developments in plastics-related policy, regulations and manufacturing technology.
