The Federation of Hong Kong Industries has achieved the prestigious ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management Systems certification, marking its position as the first cross-industry chamber of commerce to receive this international certification across multiple service areas.  With zero non-conformity in its audit performance, FHKI has demonstrated exemplary standards of corporate governance.  A certificate presentation ceremony was held today (13th), where FHKI's leadership gathered to commemorate this landmark achievement.

Established in 1960, FHKI has consistently been a leader in driving Hong Kong's industrial advancement, fostering trade and investment collaborations between local enterprises and global partners.  Presently, FHKI includes 33 industry groups and represents more than 2,000 corporate members.  Guided by its General Committee and Chairman’s Committee, as well as its dedicated management and staff, FHKI has steadfastly maintained a commitment to integrity and ethical conduct, whilst providing top-tier services to its members.

FHKI Chairman Steve Chuang highlighted the significance of the ISO 37001 certification, especially considering FHKI's crucial role as Hong Kong's statutory chamber of commerce and a key facilitator in the region. “At this critical juncture in Hong Kong's economic transformation, the role of FHKI as a 'super-connector' is increasingly vital.  We are actively forging links for our industries across the Belt and Road regions, including ASEAN and the Middle East, aiding Hong Kong businesses in discovering new markets and opportunities.  The ISO 37001 certification bolsters our reputation as a reliable platform for international cooperation, reflecting the globally respected Hong Kong brand,” Chairman Chuang stated.

Following the ISO 9001 certification in 2022, FHKI has adeptly implemented the anti-bribery management system since August, successfully navigating the rigorous audit conducted by Accredited Certification International Ltd (ACI).  This certification encompasses three key services: Membership Relations Management, Intellectual Property Registration, and Certificate of Origin Issuance – Re-export Issuance, and will remain in effect until November 2027.

FHKI’s dedication to corporate governance excellence has garnered widespread recognition in recent times.  The Federation was honoured with the “Directors of The Year Awards” and “Special Recognition of Excellence in Board Diversity” in 2022, along with the ISO 9001 certification, which it achieved with a flawless record of zero non-conformities for three consecutive years.  This May, FHKI received the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards (Hong Kong) 2024” from HR Asia, a testament to its efforts in creating an exemplary workplace environment.
