FHKI, China Post Hongkong, and Hongkong Post sign MoU
to promote Northbound Certified High-Quality Goods

Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) today (29 April) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Post Hong Kong Company Limited (China Post (Hongkong)) and Hongkong Post. The MoU establishes a tripartite cooperation framework to promote Hong Kong products certified by the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council in the Mainland market.

Under the witness of FHKI Chairman Steve Chuang and Executive Deputy Chairman Ricky Chan, the MoU was co-signed by FHKI Deputy Chairman and Hong Kong Q-mark Council Vice-Chairman Karen Chan, China Post Hongkong Managing Director Chen Dacan, and Hongkong Post Senior Director (Business Development) Estella Chow.

Under the MoU, the three parties will initiate cooperative projects focusing on merchants selling certified Q-Mark products. These collaborative projects include facilitating consignment opportunities and providing resources to help merchants expand their presence in the Mainland market. The collaboration will also assist merchants in navigating the Douyin (抖音) e-commerce platform and leveraging the joint Douyin account co-managed by China Post Hongkong and Hongkong Post.  With the objective to promote Hong Kong's high-quality products and tourism culture to Mainland consumers.

FHKI Chairman Steve Chuang expressed confidence in the collaboration, stating, “The domestic sales market in the Mainland has become an important development direction for Hong Kong businesses. FHKI has supported the business community and Hong Kong development over the past 65 years, while the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council, established in 1978, has been a trusted symbol for both Hong Kong and Mainland consumers. This collaboration will undoubtedly further support Hong Kong merchants in accessing cross-border e-commerce platforms and seizing new opportunities in the domestic circulation market.”

China Post Hongkong Managing Director Chen Dacan said, “China Post Hongkong has always adhered to the brand purpose of ‘Connecting a Better Life’. This cooperation will surely play a new and critical role in bolstering Hong Kong’s industrial upgrading, promoting the smooth flow of Mainland domestic and international dual circulation, and generate new contributions to Hong Kong’s social and economic development.”

Estella Chow, Senior Director (Business Development) of Hongkong Post, expressed, “In this collaboration, we have opened up a direct sales and marketing channel for Hong Kong enterprises to reach out to the Mainland market and provided Mainland consumers with high quality Q-Mark licensed products through the ‘China Post Hong Kong & Hongkong Post Joint Douyin Account’, achieving the win-win objective where merchants can expand their markets while shoppers can shop with assurance.”
