FHKI Holds the “Industry Cares Recognition Scheme 2025” Presentation Ceremony

Spreading Care from the Industry and Commercial Sector to Every Family

 

　　Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and its Committee on Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) held the “Industry Cares Recognition Scheme 2025” Presentation Ceremony today (17 September). The event was graced by the presence of Ho Kai-ming, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare. The scheme aims to recognise companies that benefit society by implementing CSR projects and encourage more companies to adopt CSR practices. The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited triumphed as the recipient of the prestigious Grand Award for the enterprise group, while Immune Materials Limited clinched the Grand Award for the SME group.

　　In his speech, FHKI Chairman Anthony Lam praised the effort of all participating companies, highlighting the business community’s active commitment to social responsibility and demonstrate their due responsibility. He said, “Caring for society, caring for the disadvantaged, and improving welfare are not just corporate social responsibilities; they are also a mission of the industry and business community, enabling healthier social development. The ‘Industry Cares Recognition Scheme’ has been held annually since 2013 and has continued to initiate projects that encourage more companies to launch CSR initiatives better meeting social needs, thanks to the support and participation of all sectors. As Hong Kong undergoes economic transformation, I hope that all industries and sectors will continue to observe carefully, unleash their creativity, care more about society, and invest in the community. Together, we create a better future.” 

　　Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare Ho Kai-ming express in his speech that he is pleased to see businesses supporting the concept of "Caring for the Community with the Business Sector" and fulfilling their social responsibilities by bringing more positive energy to underprivileged groups, such efforts are indeed commendable.

　　FHKI Deputy Chairman and CSR Committee Chairman Gary Lau once again thanked all participating companies and congratulated the award-winning companies in his vote of thanks, hoping they would spread the concept of caring for society. “Businesses’ efforts and participation not only improve the community but also encourage more companies to participate in CSR and contribute to society. This forms a cycle of good governance and performance, improving people’s quality of life. FHKI strongly supports the industry in contributing to society beyond the economic realm and generating additional value for the community,” he stated. (to be cleared)

　　An overwhelming 100 registrations were received for the Industry Cares Recognition Scheme 2025. Winners were selected across seven award categories in both the Enterprise and SME groups, including the Grand Award, Outstanding Caring Awards, the Most Devoted Award, the Most Innovative Award, the Best CSV Award, the Best Social Impact Award, and the Most Improved Award.
