FHKI Signed MoU with Guangzhou Tai Lai to Promote Q-Mark Products
in the “Palace Museum Cultural and Creative Products Hong Kong Space”
Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) today (12 June) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Guangzhou Tai Lai Digitals Cultural Tourism Co Ltd. (Guangzhou Tai Lai) to cooperate with the brand "Palace Museum Cultural and Creative Products Hong Kong Space". This partnership marks a strategic alliance between the two parties to promote Q-Mark certified products and enhance the image of Hong Kong brands.
The MoU, witnessed by FHKI Chairman Dr Steve Chuang and Guangzhou Tai Lai Co-Founder and Vice President Luo Chao, was signed by FHKI Director-General Bonnie Chan and Guangzhou Tai Lai’s General Manager of the Cultural & Creative Business Unit, Zhang Fan. The agreement will facilitate market expansion for Q-Mark products in Mainland China, strengthen marketing efforts, and foster exchanges among businesses interested in developing their presence in the Mainland China.
Established by the Palace Museum, the “Palace Museum Cultural and Creative Products Hong Kong Space” is located at the Qianxing Men(前星門)of the Palace Museum and serves as an innovative and interactive platform specifically for Hong Kong. In his remarks, FHKI Chairman Dr Chuang highlighted the Space’s prime location, enabling consumers across the country to experience the unique appeal of Hong Kong brands first-hand. He stated, “The Palace Museum is a jewel of Chinese culture, attracting tens of millions of visitors annually. This important platform allows Q-Mark products not only to access the vast Mainland market but also to synergise with the rich culture of the Palace Museum, showcasing the perfect fusion of innovation and tradition in Hong Kong products.”
FHKI Executive Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council Anthony Lam expressed his confidence in further strengthening the Mainland market for local businesses. He stated, “Hong Kong products are renowned for their high quality, and Q-Mark is a trusted guarantee for consumers. Through the strategic collaboration with the Space, we will create a platform integrating display, sales and exchange, allowing Mainland consumers to experience Hong Kong’s high-quality products. This will also promote deeper integration of the cultural and creative industries of the two places and generate new business opportunities.”
Guangzhou Tai Lai Co-Founder and Vice President Luo Chao expressed high hopes for the collaboration, “We are very honoured to cooperate with FHKI and the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council. The ‘Palace Museum Cultural and Creative Products Hong Kong Space’ is located at the heart of the Palace Museum in Beijing, welcoming tens of millions of domestic and international tourists every year. “The Palace Museum Cultural and Creative Products Hong Kong Space”, established in September 2022, is jointly operated by the Palace Museum and the Guangzhou Tai Lai Digitals Cultural Tourism Co Ltd. Located at the Qianxing Men(前星門)of the Palace Musuem, the project aims to fully leverage Hong Kong’s role as an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange, promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture while boosting cooperation in cultural undertakings between Hong Kong and the Mainland. In addition to displaying and selling Hong Kong-designed cultural and creative products and intangible cultural heritage products with unique Hong Kong characteristics, the Space also serves as an exchange platform for professionals in design, cultural and creative industries, manufacturing, marketing and communications, facilitating cross-sector collaboration between the two places.
