On 1 October 2019, the National Immigration Administration launched the “Platform of Identity Authentication on Entry-exit Certificates”, to facilitate Hong Kong residents accessing public services as convenient as Mainland residents. Highlights are as follows:
- Hong Kong residents with a valid entry-exit certificate (e.g. Home Return Permit) could enjoy 35 kinds of public services on the e-platform, e.g. transportation, finance, communication, etc.; and
- private companies, which have made an application to the National Immigration Administration, could assist overseas Hong Kong residents to access public services through the e-platform.
