Prof Karen Chan is the Executive Director of German Pool Group Company Limited and the Founder cum Cheongsam Designer of cultural and modern lifestyle brand “SPARKLE COLLECTION”. Prof Chan is responsible for the overall business development of German Pool Group’s three major brands, German Pool, SPARKLE COLLECTION and Happy Kitchen. By bringing the revolutionary ideology of “integrating design into industry”, she has successfully transformed and advanced the brand to a whole new dimension.
Under Prof Chan’s leadership, German Pool successfully developed its O2O business in 2015, boldly expanding the Group’s digital footprint onto various international e-commerce platforms. She flexibly merges traditional and emerging digital promotion platforms, integrating Online to Offline sales channels, and insightfully utilises digital marketing media and social media to strengthen the brand’s corporate image and consumer popularity, establishing German Pool as a market-leading household name.
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Prof Chan holds a double degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Washington, a Master in Education degree from New York University and a Master of Science degree in Marketing from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2019, she received an Honorary Fellowship from the Vocational Training Council. Currently, she serves as an Adjunct Professor of School of Humanities and Social Science at Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.
