Experiences & Awards

Ms Jackie Ng joined the Yuen Shing Group since 2002. She has transformed the traditional processing business into a vertical textile product production and trading business. She has updated the enterprise information system, upgraded the dyeing and finishing production line and the waste treatment system. She was awarded the Hong Kong Young Industrialist Award in 2015 as a result of all these implementations of industrial upgrading and transformation. Ms Ng led the company to develop a number of textile materials with different functionalities with different stakeholders, such as sustainable water-repellent cotton fabrics, natural cooling fabrics, antibacterial antiviral fabrics, etc. In recent years, the Hong Kong SAR government has actively promoted the development of innovation and technology. She invested in a start-up company dedicated to researching and developing textiles and other new functional materials, and commercialising their outcomes. Ms Ng was awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR in 2024.

Academic & Professional Qualifications

Ms Ng graduated from Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA with a Bachelor degree in Accounting. She was certified as a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey in 2000.
