Experiences & Awards

Mr Gary Lau joined his family business, Free Town Watch Products Limited under Renley Watch Group upon graduation and has devoted himself to the development of the watch and clock industry. Led by Mr Lau, the company promoted Swiss and local watch brands to the global and Greater China markets in several years with over 200 sales and distribution networks all over the world. In recent years, the Group has expanded its business to emerging markets such as the Middle East and tapped into the high-end watch market in Saudi Arabia.  

In pursuit of sustainable growth of his family business, Mr Lau introduced smart factory and automated assembly production lines from Switzerland to factories in Hong Kong and mainland China and successfully established an original, local fashion watch brand to enhance overall corporate competitiveness. Furthermore, Mr Lau led the company to launch an online custom-made watch e-commerce platform in 2018, receiving overwhelming response from the consumer market.

 

Mr Lau was awarded the Social Caring Youth Leadership Award in 2017 and the Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong in 2020.

Mr Lau graduated from the University of Kent, UK with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration.
