Dr Sunny Chai is the Representative of DynaSys Solutions Limited. He  joined his family's company for over 30 years. He successfully developed his family business from a small lighting and general merchandise factory into the world's leading scale manufacturer, earning himself the "King of Scale" title. In his early years, he was committed to reforming the company's business by promoting computerisation, professional management, and shifting the business focus to scale manufacturing. In the 1990s, he made several overseas acquisitions to help master top-of-the-line scale manufacturing technologies and successfully developed a range of medical, industrial and automotive scales. He is dedicated to transforming the company by developing information technology business, further investing in R&D, big data, artificial intelligence applications and resource planning technology, etc.

Dr Chai received the "Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong" in 2004. He was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2018 and appointed as Justices of the Peace in 2021 by the HKSAR Chief Executive for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of innovation and technology development as well as industrial advancement in Hong Kong.

Academic & Professional Qualifications

Dr Chai graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in the USA with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He completed an Executive MBA programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007 and was awarded a Doctor of Engineering degree from the City University of Hong Kong in 2010. He was also conferred a University Fellowship by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2018.
