Mission and Objectives
The Design Council of Hong Kong (DCHK) was established by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries in 1968. It is the oldest local non-profit organisation fostering the interest of the local design industry. The objectives of the Council include:
DCHK comprises council members and advisors, each with his/her area of expertise. They include prominent businessmen from various industries, academia, and professional designers. Meetings are held regularly to discuss issues that affect the design industry and to exchange information and ideas on design related topics. The DCHK cooperates closely with other organisations in the design industry to undertake joint partnership programmes so as to enhance the design standard of Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Awards for Industries (HKAI) - Consumer Product Design
Each year the Design Council of Hong Kong organises the annual Hong Kong Awards for Industries: Consumer Product Design Award. The competition is recognised as the most prestigious product design competition in Hong Kong. A Grand Award is presented as the most outstanding entry each year.

D-Mark – A Design Mark from Hong Kong
