     The 4C Concept of Industry Cares -

     

    - Concept of Creating Shared Value (CSV) -

     

    Introduction

    The FHKI set up the Committee on Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in 2011 to advocate and encourage members to pursue CSR. The Committee launched “Industry Cares” to encourage members’ participation in CSR activities and to recognise their efforts in this area. The Recognition Scheme: Industry Cares is entering its fifth year to carry on acknowledging CSR excellence of member companies.

    Important Dates

    Launching Ceremony 15 June 2017
    Application Period 15 June to 31 July 2017
    Final Judging 8 September 2017
    Recognition Ceremony 26 September 2017

    Awards

    Part 1: Presentation of Industry Cares Logo and Caring Certificate
    Companies which have run or participated in three CSR events organised or supported by the FHKI, set up on their own, or arranged by other concerns during the period from 1 January 2016 to 30 June 2017 will be presented with Caring Certificates.

    Companies 
    which have received the Logo for a consecutive of 3 or 5 years will be presented “3 years+ Industry Cares Logo or “5 years+ Industry Cares Logo for recognition.

    Part 2: Compete for Awards 

    If the companies received the Caring Certificate show their outstanding performance in CSR events or set an example of putting forward CSR in the industry, they might be recommended by the Judging Panel to attend the final judging interview to compete for the Awards.

    Judging Criteria

    The Judging Panel is comprised of representatives from the Government, Social service organisation, Academia, Caring Partners, FHKI General Committee and CSR Committee. Its duty is to appraise whether the activities reported by member companies qualify as CSR activities, and to select the winners based on the scope, resources dedicated, initiations, creativity and creating shared values of three of the most outstanding CSR projects.

    The organiser and the judging panel have full discretion about the definition of CSR activities.

    Ways of Recognition
    The companies being recognised will be invited to attend the recognition ceremony to receive the Awards and certificates
    Display specially designed logo for the Scheme
    Innovative and meaningful projects/ services to be reported in FHKI’s monthly magazine Hong Kong Industrialist and local media
    The winners will receive a specified amount of Ocean Park admission tickets to acknowledge and encourage the effort of the companies and their employees
