A multi-functional flashlight was the Grand Award winner of the Consumer Product Design category of the 2007 Hong Kong Awards for Industries. The Chief Executive Donald Tsang tonight (Wednesday) officiated at the Awards Presentation Ceremony and gave out trophies to the Grand Award winners of the different categories of the competition.

 

Named “Flashlight Digital Video Recorder”, the Consumer Product Design Grand Award-winning product was designed by the R&D Team of the Protronic (Far East) Ltd. The product uses a super bright white LED for flashlight and has a built-in photo colour VGA sensor and microphone, as well as auto-sense night-vision infra-red LEDs for allowing photo or video shooting under any dark environment.

 

The Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) is the leading organiser of the Consumer Product Design Category. The history of the product design award can be dated back to 1969 when it was first organised by the FHKI aiming to promote the importance of design and innovation in industry and to recognise outstanding product designers and companies.
