This dinner received a full house audience of more than 400 guests from overseas and mainland China at the Island Shangri-La Hong Kong on 7 Jan 2008. The dinner began with welcoming remarks delivered by the chairman of the Hong Kong Toys Council Lawrence Chan. It was also an honour to have both Frederick Ma, JP, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Bureau as the guest-of-honour to speak to all guests and Yvonne Choi, Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry & Tourism) as one of VIP guests.

During an exciting evening, a singing performance by Beelzebubs of Tufts University USA and a magic show were staged, these were followed by a lucky draw. The dinner closed with remarks by Bernie Ting, vice-chairman of the Council.

The dinner provided a seamless opportunity for industry members to meet old acquaintances and make new friends. All guests enjoyed a memorable night.
