‘No Fakes’ Pledge
As an ardent supporter of intellectual property rights, the FHKI, through its Hong Kong Coalition for Intellectual Property Rights (HKCIPR), has become an issuing body of the ‘No Fakes’ Pledge labels since June 2006.
This scheme was established by the Government with the aim of encouraging retailers to sell legitimate products and boost the consumer awareness, and in turn furthering the image of retailers and the confidence of consumers and tourists. Participants will be able to distinguish themselves from dishonest traders via superior image and trustworthiness built on consumer confidence.
Label application is free. The applicant must become a member of the issuing body first before application. Thus interested parties should join the HKCIPR and complete the ‘No Fakes’ Pledge application. Upon confirmation by the Hong Kong Customs and the Customer Council that the applicant has not been convicted of any offence related to consumer complaints in the past 12 months, the HKCIPR will issue the Pledge. The applicant can then display ‘No Fakes’ Pledge stickers for recognition.
