Design Registration
Designing a new product always takes a lot of time and money. If the design is copied or imitated, it will result in a great loss to the company. If you want your products to be protected, the best way is to apply for a design registration in Hong Kong. The Federation of Hong Kong Industries has over 15 years of experience in helping clients in local/ overseas design registration application, i.e. in Hong Kong, China, Europe, U.S.A. etc.
Protection:
The term 'design' here means the appearance of the product, its actual shape, configuration, pattern or ornament.
Almost all 3-dimensional new designs are eligible. Patterns of textile articles and wall paper are also eligible.
Procedures:
Bring in the product (hand sample is acceptable), and we will take photographs free of charge. Applicants can also submit their own product photos (top, bottom, left, right, front, back, perspective view), or line drawings of the product. Please bring along the company chop and personal identification.
Protection Period:
HK$2,200 (non-refundable) for a term of 5 years, including application fee, registration fee, and record in IP Journal. It is renewable to a maximum of 25 years.

To protect your products, please print the registration number issued by the patent office on your products, packaging, advertisements, and catalogues, etc., e.g. H.K. Reg. Design No. 12345. | |
